Food production for a healthy planet

How do we cooperate towards a sustainable food chain from farmer to consumer? Join us in the field to find out! Learn more both in theory and practice about an innovative business model which rewards agricultural suppliers who take measures to promote biodiversity, reduce climate impact and combat eutrophication.

 

Tickets can be purchased when registering to the World Water Week.
Cost: 450 SEK
Transportation, lunch and refreshments included.
Please note that we will be outdoors in the field, rubber boots might be useful depending on the weather.

 

SECURITY NOTE

For everyone’s safety, this year, no large bags will be allowed into the venue or at any social events. We encourage all participants to drop luggage at hotels before arriving to the venue. Please be prepared for bag search at the entrance.

12:00     Leaving City Conference Center

 

14:00     Arrival at Saltå
              The participants will be divided into two groups.

 

              Group 1: Starts at Saltå Kvarn
              Susanna Skånberg Communcations Manager, welcome
              participants and describes the company Saltå Kvarn
              See the mill and meet miller Peter Friberg

 

              Group 2: Starts at the Community Centre in Ytterjärna
              Meets representatives from Matlust.
              Walk along the ”Ecopath” to Nibble Gård (organic dairy farm),
              meets Beras International that will tell about Diet for a green
              planet and talk about “Baltic sea friendly food”.
              Lisa Trolle at Saltå Kvarn and Lucas den Herder, farmer
              welcome at Nibble Gård, and tell about A Farmer’s toolbox for
              a better planet.

     

15:00     Group 1: Coffee break at Saltå kvarn
              Group 2: Bus goes to Saltå kvarn

 

15:15     Group 2: Coffee break at Saltå kvarn
              Group 1: Bus goes to the Community Centre
