Achieving water security is one of the great challenges of our time. The Regional Environmental Center launched methodology for Local Water Security Action Planning (LWSAP) in April 2016. Methodology is presented in manual which offers a theoretically informed and step-by-step guide to local water security action planning, emphasizing in particular the importance of inclusiveness and democratic decision making. LWSAP methodology is an original methodology comprising seven interrelated activities, some supported by a separate tailored methodology, which cover stakeholder analysis, public opinion assessment, local water security assessment, and problem analysis and prioritization.
