Pressure on water resources is growing rapidly.  In order to reduce this pressure, sectors must work towards a more efficient use of available water resources. Integrating water reuse into a circular economy approach is a way to align with Sustainable Development Goals 6.3 & 6.4. This is why WBCSD has worked with more than 15 companies representing various sectors to create the Business Guide to Circular Water Management: Spotlight on Reuse, Reduce and Recycle to be leveraged by industries throughout the world.

The aim of this session is to introduce the knowledge gathered within the Guide and demonstrate, through interactive discussion, the potential of water recycling and re-use practices. We will do this by giving an overview of common barriers, key drivers, success factors, as well as available tools. We will then showcase several case studies illustrating best practices already being undertaken by companies, such as those coming from IPIECA and Procter & Gamble, and demonstrate how collaboration with other stakeholders is key to success.
