Keys for successful youth engagement in Water for Development
Swedish Water House at SIWI together with the Water Youth Network and World Youth Parliament for Water are co-convening this seminar in order to share innovative ways for youth engagement to link up with support institutions. The aim is to connect with “senior” water and development experts representing enabling stakeholders such as private sector, donor and civil society.
The objectives are to raise awareness of young participants about the range of global challenges related to “water for development” and the potentials of youth engagement. The session will also demonstrate youth commitment and enhance the role of youth by showing different successful, or failed practices, developed by youth and young professionals around the world as contributions to different aspects of “water for development” from the local to the global level.
The future water champions will be introduced to and build capacities in a collegial environment between young actors and supporting organizations that permeates the whole Young Professionals' day and World Water Week in Stockholm.
