Unlocking Water Infrastructure Financing: Adaptable Approaches from Across Africa
Since 2016, the AMCOW, EU, Sida and SIWI, implementing the African EU Water Partnership Project (AEWPP), have partnered with CRIDF, KIFFWA, GWP and others to identify and erode targeted bottlenecks and barriers to water infrastructure projects across Africa.
With a pipeline of diverse medium sized water infrastructure projects under development, AEWPP and partners works collaboratively with project sponsors and development banks to improve the project’s development impact and financial viability, and leverage private, public, and blended financing opportunities across the continent. This Sofa will feature project sponsors and country representatives, sharing information and lessons learned to unlock financing for water infrastructure projects in Africa with special focus on trends in nexus financing.
